Thank You

Sometimes,

in the alone-ness of my thoughts

I recall,

in my moments of great despair,

how you,

in those same moments,

lifted me,

held me in your arms,

helped me to realize that without you

I would be truly alone.

… and how,

without your love,

and my loving you,

I would have no meaning, reason or purpose.

So, I thank you, warmly, from the depths of my soul

for loving me, for being there,

for allowing me to love you and for making

despair a stranger to me.
