Story behind the song
Sonata in C Major was written early in the morning after awakening from a pleasant dream. Sometimes music just comes and this is the case here. It was written in about 20 minutes time. Integration of instruments from the woodwind family added pleasant color and added dimension to this piece. At first I didn’t think it was finished and I was not expecting it to come out as a modification of the strict sonata form used in classical music composition. I never expected Sonata in C Major to rank well in an International Songwriting contest and this was a pleasant surprise to me. Hope you enjoy it!
