Story behind the song

I woke up one day thinking about the fact that I had very little to do that day so, I felt calm, relaxed and peaceful. My neighbor has a water feature in his back yard that produces that very soothing sound of moving water. It reminded me of a time when I was sitting by a small stream watching the water flow slowly yet deliberately towards its new destination. Of course, my imagination got the best of me and the result was Waiting By the River!
