American Viola Society – Very excellent resource and organization for all things related to the Viola! A must visit site.

Internet Cello Society – The Internet Cello Society, an international cyber-community of cellists, seeks to advance the knowledge and joy of cello playing around the world. We welcome cello enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. We currently have over 16120 members representing 84 different countries of the world.

International Society of Bassists – The ultimate multilingual website founded by Gary Karr in 1967 for all things for the bassist. Another must visit site. Really!

The site features a bass club directory, publications and online journal, event listings, convention schedules, competitions and online store, the International Society of Bassists offers a complete resource for players and performers of this instrument.

International Viola Society – The International Viola Society (the “IVS” or “the Society”) is the umbrella organization that governs and supports existing and future national and regional organized groups or “National Sections” of violists. The Society is a non-profit organization that promotes and supports activities that serve the common good for all friends of the viola.

The Primrose International Viola Archive is of inestimable value to violists worldwide in your search to rediscover the best music written for the instrument.

Musical Organizations and Professional Societies – This is an excellent collection of resources for music related organizations and societies throughout the world. This site is made available through the Indiana University School of Music. A must visit if you are seeking resources related to music.

National Endowment For The Arts – The National Endowment for the Arts is public agency dedicated to supporting excellence in the arts, both new and established; bringing the arts to all Americans; and providing leadership in arts education.

Viola Archive – Brigham Young University – This is a tremendous archive of resources and information for the Violists of the world, definitely a superb resource.

Viola da Gamba Society of America – The Viola da Gamba Society of America is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the support of activities relating to the viola da gamba in the United States and abroad, this includes; performers, luthiers, distributors, publishers, restorers and all those interested in early instruments.

Violin Society of America – Another great sight for those interested in the violin is the Violin Society of America. The site includes; Activities, Conventions, Competitions, News. Also includes resources for the Violin, Viola, Cello and Bass for making, restoring, playing, instrument histories, acoustics, buying/selling and collecting these instruments.
