Story behind the song

As a gardener in the Upper Midwest is a time of new growth , new beginnings and new life! The slumber of winter is over and it is such a glorious time. The experience of watching the beginning of the new plant life cycle is nothing short of amazing. The hope and anticipation of summer soon to come adds to the uniqueness of this time of year. So too in May Days is the inspiration of spring and coming to life after a long winter’s nap.
