It is for that reason that we have put this page together for you. It is also why we want you to be informed about how we protect the privacy of all visitors who come to our site. Privacy Policy – Introduction

Originally launched in June of 2006, the website stringtunes.com is the property of StringTunes, an independent music publishing company. It is the hub for digitally communicating the details and information related to the musical works of Don Rath Jr. Over time, it is intended to acquire and to affiliate with other artists, performers and composers who offer music primarily in the classical orchestral and chamber music genres, in a more general sense, instrumental music. Currently, StringTunes is undergoing growth and change leading us into the new century to fulfill this goal.

Our interaction with others requires trust and that in turn requires that we honor and respect those that affiliate with us by establishing a Privacy Policy that supports these ideals. StringTunes remains fully committed to providing an Internet presence that is in alignment with this commitment. We will continue to do our business in full recognition and respect for the rights of privacy for all who engage with us. Our policy document sets forth the principals in which we are fully committed to this practice.

StringTunes – is an independent music company located in Rockford Illinois, USA. Our primary and complete mailing address is; 4612 Redbluff Drive, Rockford, Illinois USA 61107.

StringTunes is a group of affiliated website entities or properties within its organization collectively referred to as StringTunes. The StringTunes website properties are; donrathjr.com, stringtunes.net, stringtunes.org and stringtunes.com. Throughout this document and the additional legal documents attached to any or all of these entities individually, the entire contents of them collectively are adopted by each and hence StringTunes at large is guided by and protected by these documents. Within these documents any reference to one is equivalent to and in reference to all. By adopting these policies you are also protected as a matter of course.

As described in more detail below, StringTunes generally owns all of the information collected on stringtunes.com and/or has acquired the rights and approvals to use information, products, services, photography, music and videos included on the site from the owners of the rights to these items or through items existing in the Public Domain. We use third party software and plugins to produce the website and we make every effort necessary to maintain up to date programs necessary to faithfully operate the StringTunes websites. We do not share, sell or distribute personal identifiable information about our visitors or web site users to these persons or companies.

What We Collect and How We Use It

StringTunes collects specific information from its different visitors depending on how they choose to use of the StringTunes web sites. Different parts or pages of the website provide input fields for our members and guests to convey their personal and identifiable information such as name, address, phone number, e-mail address, social security number, credit card number, birth date, etc. to properly and legally interact with our visitors and business associates. The input fields are clearly seen and are an elective for you to complete in order to fully experience the website and/or to purchase products through the website. You will always know what is needed to complete these fields and you retain the right to fill them in with your identifiable information. Public Use

For those of you who use our websites strictly as an informational and/or entertainment resource and included in this privacy policy, StringTunes does not generally collect or track any personally identifiable information. Although we will provide you with the opportunity to register as a user of the website properties, you will not be required to register in order to access the public services offered on these websites. StringTunes will use the registration information that you choose to solely provide for enhancing your experience on our websites. We do not presently share personally identifiable information with any third parties.

StringTunes does make use of data-tracking software, however, this information is used to analyze internet traffic to the web site and to identify trends in usage so that we can continue to make sure that our websites remain focused on continuous improvement to better enhance your experience while visiting us.

For example, we may store a piece of data called a cookie on your hard drive, or keep track of your IP address, so that we can better understand how the site is used. We use this information solely for developing enhancements and improvements to our site. We will not link cookies to any personally identifiable information, and we do not presently share any individualized information with any third parties.

StringTunes does not presently share any of the web site usage information that we collect with any third parties other than as described in this policy. You should be aware however, that StringTunes intends to use third party services for advertising purposes on some of the pages included on the site.

You should be aware that Advertising Networks frequently use their own cookies in their advertising. StringTunes will occasionally use information that provides to us aggregated traffic information, such as the number of unique visitors to a newly launched section, page or post, to promote the success of various pages, services, etc. to third parties or to the public.

StringTunes intends on providing our visitors the ability to register for such things as a newsletter, e-mail notifications and other programs however, these will be what is known as Opt-in Services where your retain the right to provide any personal identifying information. We will use this information only as a means to supply the product and/or information as requested by you. Again, we do not sell, rent, lease or otherwise share your personal information with any third parties

StringTunes intends to provide our visitors with the ability to purchase various products offered at our StringTunes Shop. Customers will be asked to provide sufficient information necessary for completion of the transactions. This information includes, name, home or business address, phone number, e-mail address, credit card number among other information called out in the shopping cart area of the website. It is your responsibility to provide accurate and up to date information when filling in the data fields. If errors are found you may contact us to correct the information via e-mail  or by calling us at (815) 391-5091. Corrections to outdated or incomplete information will be made in a timely manner.

StringTunes does not presently share any personally identifiable information provided through the StringTunes shopping cart with any third parties other than as described above without first obtaining your permission. StringTunes is required to keep and maintain records of transactions for purposes of fulfilling tax laws as well as to assist us in properly managing our business. The personal identifying information is not provided to any other parties.

Links to Other Websites

StringTunes maintains links to other web sites, including those of advertisers, affiliates, performing rights organization, third party service providers, among other web sites related to programs, products and services offered through these companies. StringTunes is not responsible for the privacy and use practices on these external web sites. We strongly suggest reading their Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions Policy before proceeding on these other sites.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

From time to time, StringTunes may elect to change or alter any or all of the Privacy Policy in use at which time we will post a revised policy document to reflect these changes upon adopting any changes to the existing Privacy Policy. Revisions will be available immediately and posted on the website in the same location as the previous Privacy Policy. Dissemination of the personal identifiable information provided prior to the changes in the Privacy Policy will remain under the terms as set forth on the previous privacy policy and/or the privacy policy that was in place at the time you provided the personal identifiable information with us. After the new Privacy Policy is posted, any and all personal identifiable information provided will fall under the guidelines as set forth on the new or revised Privacy Policy. Privacy Policy – Legally Required Disclosures

In the event that StringTunes is obligated by law to disclose personally identifiable information, such as by court order, or lawful warrant from a law enforcement agency, StringTunes will attempt to notify you of the request so that you will have the opportunity to appear and contest the order or warrant.

Additional Internal Security

In addition to the security measures described above, StringTunes has elected to adopt an internal policy that protects your personally identifiable information. This privacy policy states that only those employees necessary for completion of the duties required to be acted upon to fulfill any business or customer requests will have access to your information and only on a need to know basis. Employees will be trained and provided the information in our internal policies including our Privacy Policy. Should the policy be breached in any way, StringTunes will resolve the breach of security through any necessary means, including legal means, to resolve the breach of privacy. You will be notified if your personal identifiable information was involved in the breach of security in such a manner. Further, you will be given the right to opt-out and/or request to be removed from our databases should any breach of security occur.
