National Hospice and Palliative Care Month

As many of you already know, I am a strong advocate for hospice and palliative care. I believe it is our responsibility to provide care to those with terminal illnesses such as cancer and other terminal illnesses. Dignity and respect are important and these caregivers provide that during these most difficult of times.

November is Hospice Care Month

National Hospice and Palliative Care Month is coming in November. The NHPCO is an advocate for hospice and palliative care. Please help to spread the word!

This coming November is the National Hospice and Palliative Care month for bringing this type of care and the awareness of it to the general population. I would be remiss in my concerns about hospice care if I did not provide a post about this.

NHPCO – National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization

The NHPCO is an excellent resource for those seeking help, information and guidance when it comes to end-of-life care. J. Donald Schumacher, PsyD NHPCO President & CEO, gives a quick monthly message discussing World Hospice and Palliative Care Day with a message about November being an awareness month. Please view the video below and follow the links to their YouTube Channel as well as their website.

Also, if you are seeking hospice or palliative care or know of someone who is please check out Humanitarian links page for additional resources.

We hope you will find these links helpful and that you will seek proper Hospice and Palliative Care when any of your loved ones need it and/or that you will do what you can to support hospice care just in case you do.

Thank you,

Don Rath Jr – Composer
