Christopher Tin: Two Grammy’s One Night

We are pleased to report that Christopher Tin has won two Grammy’s in one night for his composition Baba Yetu and for his debut CD Calling All Dawns. This is a fitting following up on our recent exclusive interview with Christopher where he discusses the story behind the making of Calling All Dawns, it is our privileged to have come to know him and his work.

Below is a video of his acceptance speech for winning in the Best Instrumental Arrangement with Vocalist category in the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards.

Baba Yetu was originally written for the video game Civilization IV and V making this a historic event in so far as this is the first time a composition created for a video game has won a Grammy Award.

In addition, Tin has won a more inclusive Grammy Award for his debut album Calling All Dawns in the Best Classical Crossover Album category. It is amazing to win one Grammy let alone two. Congratulations Christopher on a job well done. The two Grammy Awards are a testament to your fantastic work!
